I have a special interest in helping people improve their lives and build on their self-confidence, dispelling negative issues, thereby gaining control of their stress levels, and overcome feelings of anxiety. I use a person centred approach, and will work with you, reviewing over open dialogue, trust and honesty. I strongly believe that hypnotherapy can assist in making life long changes, which impact hugely upon our physical and mental health.
Hypnotherapy is a highly effective in assisting positive changes in a short time to long-standing limiting self beliefs, feelings and behaviours. Although we are often consciously aware of our problems we are often unable to change our attitudes because the behaviour is so ingrained in the subconscious. Therefore fewer sessions are needed, than if using a talking therapy alone. During the initial consulation I will begin by taking a full history of your issues. I will then begin treatment, so that after the very first session you may begin to be aware of changes taking place.
I'm qualified in both hypnotherapy and psychotherapy and run a home based practice near the Galleria in Hatfield. I offer a calm, comfortable, peaceful and safe environment for the therapy process to take place.

Low self Esteem and Confidence Issues.
The way that you feel about yourself and your ability to cope with life is a key factor in determining your happiness and general well being. I can help look at your negative self beliefs and turn those thoughts to a more appropriate and helpful thinking style.
Anxiety and panic attacks can be really scary and may begin to take over your life. Sometimes anxiety can be helpful as it can provide an added push when faced with a more challenging situation. However anxiety becomes a problem when it is experienced where there is no direct threat or danger and it stops you doing the things you want or need to do. Anxiety can be experienced in different ways and at different levels. Using hypnotherapy we can look at where the anxiety stems from and find ways of coping and introduce new skills to overcome the issues.
Depression is different from the usual mood fluctuations. It is characterised by sadness, loss of interest or pleasure, feelings of guilt or low self-worth, disturbed sleep or appetite, feelings of tiredness, and poor concentration. I work to provide you with the structure and support you need to address your depression directly. Hypnotherapy can boost your own commitment and motivation to change your limiting self beliefs.

It's all about positive self belief. Using hypnosis and positive suggestion you will learn to begin to manage and control. During our sessions I will make suggestions that will allow you to see yourself achieving your goals. You will succeed!
Get motivated to lose weight and change your life forever. Together we will look a your eating habits and lifestyle. When you're under hypnosis, your attention is highly focused, and you're more responsive to suggestions, including behaviour changes that can help you lose weight. You will lose weight with hypnosis!
IBS (Gut Specific & Gut Directed Protocol).
This 7-8 week program, can help you find relief from the symptoms of IBS. Prior to seeking this treatment, you should be evaluated by a medical doctor (if you haven't already) to make sure your diagnosis is indeed IBS.
Stop Smoking Programme - 2 hour one off session.
Firstly, congratulations for wanting to give up smoking! This may well be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself. It’s really important that you feel motivated and dedicated to giving up smoking. If you don’t think your motivation is strong enough or if you have a lot of current stress in your life, I will not recommend we proceed at this time, but instead look at the stress in your life and work on preparing to give up.
It is really essential to deal with the issues surrounding your habit first, so in the first part of the session I will look at your personal reasons for smoking etc. I will then use hypnotherapy to help you see a future without smoking, enforce positive suggestions and the idea of a smoke free and healthy future.
Providing your motivation is good the stop smoking cessation will be successful. You will leave the session a non smoker.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a diploma with distinction in Hypnotherapy.
I have an advanced diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
TA 101 certificate of the European Association for Transactional Analysis.
For 8 years from 2003, I was a volunteer and later chair-person with a Rape Crisis centre. this involved counselling and supporting male and female survivors who had been sexually abused at some point in their lives; sexual abuse including childhood sexual abuse, rape, incest, domestic violence and ritual and satanic ritual abuse.
I have also been a volunteer member with St Albans Bereavement Network - children's team. Working with children who had suffered a death in the family. In the 4 years I spent in this role, I visited children at their school, and helped them try to understand their loss. I worked with children aged between 4-17 years.
I am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and Counselling Society work within the Code of Ethics and professional standards that have been set out. I am in regular supervision and hold professional civil liability insurance. CPD, Continuing professional development is an important part of my practice. It means that I am regularly expanding my knowledge of hypnotherapy and other therapeutic techniques to enable me to offer the best possible assistance to my clients.

Each of my sessions is 50 minutes long and the cost for this is £45.
The initial consultation is £45.
