About me

In 2014 Jacqueline was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time, she was working in a highly stressful corporate environment, smoking 30 cigarettes a day, drinking a bottle of wine every night, and eating on the hoof. Frightened and thinking she was going to die, the cancer diagnosis was a catalyst for a complete lifestyle overhaul.

A chance encounter with a hypnotherapist, led her to retrain as a Clinical Hypnotherapist herself. She then used hypnosis to quit smoking and drinking, change her diet, and stop eating sugar. Jacqueline now uses her experience of cancer and self-hypnosis to help support women on a similar journey to make positive changes to their lives.

Jacqueline lives in the North of England with her Rottweiler Ollie. In her spare time she plays the drums and enjoys Ballroom and Latin American dancing. She continues not to smoke, is teetotal and vegan, and remains cancer free.

Her transformative journey and expertise have been featured in The Northern Echo, Living Magazine, Darlington Monthly and The Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine.

Training, qualifications & experience

I studied with the Innervissions School of Clinical Hypnosis Qualifying in October 2016 with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Dip Hyp, GQHP). I am also a qualified Psychotherapist and Social Worker (DipSw, 1997, University of Northumbria). I am a Reiki level two practitioner, and am also trained in Havening, EFT and NLP. I hold a Professional Diploma in Nutrition.

I am also a qualified Meditation Teacher (2020) and certified with Yoga Alliance.

I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register, having a General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP). I am also registered with the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

I am a weight loss consultant and have developed the Sugar Addict Rescue program which is an online course to get rid of sugar cravings.

I have completed additional training in Insomnia and sleep issues with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH).

As well as seeing clients in my relaxing therapy room, I also work with clients online from all over the world.

Member organisations

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with

Unexplained infertility.
Bullying.

Additional information

Consultation is currently a stand alone fee of £50.00.

Please note that I rarely do single sessions and prefer to agree a course of sessions over a period of weeks.  However, this depends on the issue and the individual.

I also do private one to one coaching over a specified period of months.  This can include hypnosis for a number of different issues.

It is best to call and discuss the issue and your requirements so that we can decide on the right course of treatment for you.
