Hi, my name is Deva Priya, I am an Integrative Hypnotherapist, NLP, and CBT Practitioner. I am also affiliated to the HypnoBirthing® Institute as a fully certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner.
As an artist I can combine art therapy in our sessions together. I am highly experienced in helping people to destress,relax and re-energise - constant daily stress and constant anxiety can be the cause of many modern day problems and addictions. I am an accredited member of The General Hypnotherapy Register and National Hypnotherapy Society.
How do Hypnosis Sessions Work to Bring About Effective Change?
Having trained in Integrative HypnotherapyI can draw upon a combination of Hypnotherapy, Counselling,NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). This approach combines Hypnotherapy with exploring thought patterns and behaviours that have resulted in the responses in yourself (physical as well as emotional) that you would like to change - such as overeating, phobias,depression,lack of self confidence and smoking. Or it could be that you have a physical symptons such as insomnia, IBS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
By understanding and recognising your thoughts and behaviours and the impact they have on you, I am then able to effectively input different thought patterns and behaviours during our hypnosis sessions to help bring about the positive changes you are seeking for yourself, to improve your quality of life and overall sense of well-being.
I can bring clarity and focus around your life direction for you to experience more fulfilment in your life and coach you as to how to make the changes that can bring this about.
What Happens During a Session?
Sessions usually begin with discussing and exploring the issue you would like to work on, and what outcome you would like for yourself from our hypnotherapy sessions together.
You are then guided into a deeply relaxed state during which positive alternative behaviours and new ways of thinking are suggested. You are completely in control during hypnosis and can come out of your relaxed state at any moment you choose.
There is some time to talk about your experience at the end of the session. Sessions are fifty minutes to one hour long apart from stopping smoking (x 2 sessions 90minutes long plus free follow up session within 6 months if needed).
Research shows that 6-8 sessions of Hypnotherapy can bring a 90% recovery rate when compared with other therapies. Sometimes only one session may be sufficient as, for instance, in stopping smoking or working with a phobia. However, the amount of sessions that I recommend varies for each individual.

I have been teaching yoga, stress management and meditation for 20 years and am very experienced in helping people to release stress and anxiety enabling them to sleep better as well as relax and rejuvenate themselves.

I offer Online Skype Sessions? What is a Skype Session?
Skype is an application that can be downloaded from the internet. You create a Skype address this can be exchanged with mine- we are then able to have sessions face to face via our tablets, computer or phone. If you have an ipad or iphone we can use Face Time instead. You can have sessions from the comfort of your own home without having to travel anywhere! Skype sessions are less expensive.
Most sessions are approximately 50 minutes to one hour long.
One to one sessions can take place in Islington (close to Angel tube, behind Camden Passage) or at the Haelan Centre in Crouch End Broadway N8. Fees are payable at the end of each session.
- One to one sessions - from £60 per hour depending on location
- Skype sessions - From £50
- Stop Smoking sessions - £90 per session for two ninety minute sessions this includes a free follow up session if needed within six months of our first meeting.
If you book a block of sessions - i.e. six - the fees can be discounted
An Alternative Approach
