Hi, I'm Danny Glasspool and I use modern clinical hypnotherapy to help you resolve unwanted issues quickly in a relaxed, confidential and supportive environment.
I have clinics in Exeter and Plymouth and I also provide Hypnotherapy at Home by Skype. If you have a physical disability making it difficult for you to attend the clinic, I can can also come to you.
What you can expect
In the first instance I offer a free one hour initial consultation. This is time for you to explain what is troubling you so I understand fully what you are hoping to achieve and also gives me the opportunity to show you fully how hypnotherapy may help you. You will then be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not you would like to go ahead with sessions, but there is no obligation to do so. Either way you will leave the free initial consultation with a new understanding of how the brain works, why you have developed the condition that brought you to seek help, what you need to do to resolve it and a free self hypnosis CD.
Why is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy so effective?
If you decide to go ahead with sessions, the solution focused approach centres on the present and future and not on the past. Many clients are relieved to discover they are not expected to talk in detail about their problems or relive distressing memories. I will ask you to consider your preferred future, for instance, “what would be better if the problem had improved?” “What would have changed?” This enables your mind to imagine possible solutions that become more apparent and can be worked towards. This helps retrain your mind at a subconscious level allowing the negative thought patterns that are keeping you trapped in condition to fade away and living a happier life can begin.
What is Hypnosis like?
The hypnosis itself, which just feels as if you are nicely relaxed, allows you to access your subconscious mind and make changes at that subconscious level. At all times you are completely in control, your mind will only accept what it agrees with and the changes you make feel very natural because they have come from you.
Does hypnotherapy work?
Yes it does work, but come along for a free initial consultation and understand for yourself why and how before making any decisions.
“Research shows that there is more scientific evidence for hypnotherapy than any other complementary therapy…. by using hypnosis, people can perform prodigious feats of will power and self healing” (Health Education Authority)
*”When I had my first session, I was tired (and looked it), not sleeping well and very anxious. I was negative about everything and, quite literally, going around in circles, instead of coping with the issues that were causing the problems in the first place.
I left my first session feeling elated and felt I could regain control of my life, so much so, that I instantly recommended a friend. After two further sessions, I felt better than I had done in a long time, looked better and started to deal with the problems that were causing me the stress, effectively and efficiently. After just 6 sessions I felt I was a 10 on the happiness scale! No longer tired, I was sleeping again, and the stresses and strains had melted away. I cannot recommend hypnotherapy enough, it has literally changed my life.” Drew Carlton*
*Results may vary from person to person
My emphasis is on providing a friendly and relaxed environment and helping clients to feel comfortable which is very important not only to me, but also to the therapeutic process. Often Hypnosis can be quite intimidating the first time someone tries it and I will help you to alleviate any fears you may have, so you come away happy, energised and full of hope that you will resolve the issues which brought you to me in the first place.
