Profile

I am a UKCP registered hypno-psychotherapist and adhere to its ethical framework. As part of my work within the NHS, I am also trained in harm reduction helping those suffering from the effects of drug addiction.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, combining hypnosis with cognitive behaviour techniques (CBT) to help clients identify the underlying cause of presenting symptoms and change unwanted patterns of behaviour. I provide an empathetic and non-judgemental environment for a client to be able to explore difficulties in their life.

I have experience of working with a range of stress related problems including depression, anxiety and panic attacks, bereavement, weight control, irritable bowel syndrome, pain relief, smoking, anger management, travel sickness, performance anxiety and low self-esteem. I have completed a research projects on performance anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is an effective treatment for trauma and is accepted by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence in the treatment of PTSD.

I also provide support for couples preparing for fertility treatment, pregnancy, birth and parenthood through the use of hypnosis by helping to restore the natural balance in the body.
