I call myself a hypnotist rather than a hypnotherapist for reasons I go into below, but first a bit about me. I have always worked with people - in life before hypnosis I have managed top cinemas in London, worked with long term unemployed people helping them boost confidence and sell themselves and have worked with Victim Support helping victims of every crime you can think of get back on their feet. I am also a storyteller with an online portfolio and a novel on kindle. These are the perfect ingredients for a hypnotist - imagination and a good understanding of how people work. If the hypnotist can engage your imagination in solving a problem results can be very fast.
There is more to hypnosis than relaxing and thinking positive thoughts. Hypnosis is a phenomenon that can achieve your desired change quickly and efficiently. If I cannot show you that something out of the ordinary is happening, I will not continue to charge you for hypnosis.
I have a natural non-fluffy style using rapid induction wherever possible so that you get the most of your time. My style is solution focused and suited well to those who wish to change with minimum fuss.
It is a matter of professional pride that I help you achieve your desired change in the minimum number of sessions possible:
I do not believe in fixed ways of treating certain symptoms – it is your personal experience that we are changing so every session I do is unique to you.
I do not believe in using hypnosis scripts.
I use a mixture of direct suggestion, metaphor, hypnotic symbolism and subconscious negotiation through Ideo Motor Responses and past life regression if it is appropriate.
I test our work throughout the session to ensure that what we are doing is working, ensuring your time is best spent.
I test for hypnosis – for the subconscious acceptance of suggestion – before continuing with the desired change work. You will not get this with a lot of hypnotherapists. Not every one can be hypnotised, though the majority can be, and some people are better hypnotees than others. By finding out how hypnotizable you are, you can make an informed decision whether full investment in treatment is worth it. I feel this is a safer investment for you than trying to sell you a series of sessions without ever knowing.
I charge for this consultation, but if you go ahead with full sessions then that price is deductible from your first session.
All behaviours and feelings are the result of subconscious patterns. My favourite to work with are fear and anxiety patterns to boost confidence, but hypnosis is a technique for working with your mind and can help with all patterns you may be running so I'm happy to talk with you about any experiences you'd like to change.
