About me

I am an experienced Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, a Senior Lecturer for two Hypnotherapy schools and a Hypnotherapy Supervisor. I have a friendly, professional and energetic approach.  I use the very best therapeutic tools from SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy); CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).

Since training in 2011 I have helped people with a broad range of conditions, from the highly unusual to the more common such as: Anxiety, Addictions, Weight Management, Quit Smoking, Panic/Anxiety Attacks, Depression and Sports or Work Performance/Anxiety. I have of course also helped people with a broad range of Fears and Phobias such as Fear of Flying.

I see clients in Stroud, Cirencester and online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained for my HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner's Diploma) with the highly renowned Clifton Practice in Bristol in 2011 making Hypnotherapy my full time career in May 2012. Since then I have attended many CPD events including those on Mindfulness, Neuroscience, Weight Loss, Psychoneuroimmunology, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This Continual Professional Development allows me a very broad knowledge and skills base in order to help my clients. I read widely and I am now studying for the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma (AHD).

My experience and reputation led me to being offered the role as Chief Executive of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) in August 2016. A role I held for nearly two years, before making the difficult decision to resign so that I could focus more attention on my Hypnotherapy Lecturing.

I trained as a Hypnotherapy Supervisor (which means I can support other Hypnotherapists in their careers) in 2015. I am also a senior lecturer for CPHT Belfast and CPHT Edinburgh. This requires a monthly visit to each location to train other people in the career I love, allowing them the opportunity to achieve the gold standard in Hypnotherapy Training: The Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD).

It is amazing to be able train other people to do the job I still love so much, whilst continuing to provide the very best standards of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy closer to home in Cirencester and Stroud.

Working full time also allows me to regularly and consistently practice the art and science of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy whilst keeping up to date with the most recent developments. I carefully balance my workload to ensure I offer the very best levels of service and energy to each and every client, whilst consistently seeing more clients per week than most Hypnotherapists see in a month.

Amongst other things I have successfully worked with numerous clients struggling with: Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Clinical Depression, IBS, Fear of Flying, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Health Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Binge Eating, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Confidence, Performance Improvement at Work in Sport and Musical Performance Improvement, Weight Loss, Arachnophobia (Fear of Spiders), Self Esteem, Addictions (including Sex Addiction); and Phobias (such as fear of flying, fear of needles, fear of spiders, fear of the dentist and some more unusual ones too).

Further information

I have in recent months had to restrict the number of clients I see due my increasing Hypnotherapy Lecturing commitments. Owner of the Stroud Hypnotherapy Practice (based at the Cotswold Health Centre) I see clients there on Wednesdays. I also work from the Cirencester Hypnotherapy and Health Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each Clinic provides a comfortable, friendly and professional environment from which to work and allows me to offer a flexible appointment timetable. Evening appointments are available subject to availability. I can also see clients for Quit Smoking Appointments in Stroud on Saturdays.

I am a member of the NCH, AfSFH and the CNHC.
