Why does Hypnotherapy work better than diets for weight loss?
Are you tired of trying to lose weight through various diets? Do you lose weight then pile it back on again over a period of time? Do you get excited hearing about the newest diet, and think 'this is the one'?
Most people when on a diet, feel restricted, and so they don't see them through all the way, and give up before they reach their ideal weight. Sometimes, weight falls off very fast initially, and so, people think 'Oh I can have a little of this, or a little of that, as a treat'. And 'hey presto', before they realise it, they are back overeating or eating the right proportions of the wrong foods, and the weight loss is no more.
It is not rocket science to figure out that if you go on a diet and limit what you eat, then go back to eating the way that you did before the diet, you wont sustain your weight loss. If you keep doing the same things, you will keep getting the same results.
When you lose weight by restricting what you eat, you consume fewer calories than you burn, however much of what you lose is water as opposed to fat. You can see a 3lb loss after a few days of starting your diet, but be aware, glycogen and fluid are rapidly restored, and you will go back to your prior weight by eating the way you did before you started.
Often, people start out with the best intentions of sticking to the diet they have embarked upon, but struggle with mood swings when feeling happy, or feeling sad, or are influenced by others who try to persuade them to have 'just one bite', and this can severely hinder their weight loss..
Before you have a hypnotherapy session, the hypnotherapist will ask questions in an attempt to understand your behaviours. Then, you will be taken into a trance, and positive affirmations will be fed into your subconscious; the more relaxed you are, the easier it is for the hypnotherapist to set anchors, and help you re-frame your perspective.
It won't be suggested you restrict foods. Instead, quite the reverse, it will be suggested you listen to your body, eat when hungry, stop when full and take time to enjoy taste and textures. It will be suggested you start loving and honouring your body, and perhaps even take gentle exercise.
It isn't the actual hypnotherapy that helps you lose weight, its the techniques the hypnotherapist use, the positive suggestions. The suggestions that are planted to guide you towards healthy food choices. Hypnotherapy is extremely effective for losing weight and maintaining it, in a natural, organic way without drugs or pills.
So ,if you want to achieve weight loss, then why not give hypnotherapy a go? After all what do you have to lose aside from weight?
