There are advertising campaigns every year to highlight the dangers of smoking, but so many of us fail to ignore the dangers and carry on. Research has shown that there are 114,000 people that die from smoking related illnesses each year. Smoking can also cause cancer in many parts of the body and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Even passive smokers are at the same health risks as smokers, especially in regards to lung cancer and heart disease. Children are also at risk of passive smoking as their bodies are still developing - and by inhaling passive smoke, they can be at greater risk of chest infections, cot death or even sudden infant death syndrome.

Medications such as bupropion and varenicline are intended for short-term use only and help to reduce the cravings of nicotine. Hypnosis is one of the most popular options and has been the subject of many press articles with proven results.
