Is hypnotherapy for you?

The simple answer is that there is no reason why it should not be for you. Especially if you are suffering from fear, anxiety, stress, a phobia, panic attacks, low self-esteem, no confidence or self-doubt. The bottom line is that hypnosis is the name given to a 'state of mind', which is brought about by focusing your mind onto a specific line of thought. In fact you will probably enter a mild form of it whilst watching the TV, reading a book, or even driving the car.

Although the depth/degree of hypnosis entered is relevant. The important part is what can be achieved whilst in that 'state of mind'. It enables both the conscious and subconscious minds to work in harmony to resolve those fears phobias and negative emotional trauma that was activated in our past, normally as a child. This was when our understanding of the world was more simplistic and we felt more vulnerable. Once our subconscious mind associates an event, set of circumstances, thing or object with danger, pain or unhappiness, it will tirelessly work to keep us away from experiencing those same feelings again. This is our fight or flight instinctive response.

Our lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem and self-doubt have all been put in place by 'ourselves', having been previously rejected or hurt a number of times in such a way that again the fight or flight response has been activated in an attempt to protect us.

Once those patterns of response have been learnt, it is very difficult to override them because the activation occurs in a deep part of our brain half a second before we become aware of its activation.

Through the use hypnotherapy, it is possible to return to and review that initial activating trigger memory with our present adult rational mind. This process then enables the 'trigger' which causes the fight or flight response to be identified and then uncoupled from the memory, thus deactivating any future fight or flight response.

Why continue to live with fear, phobia, anxiety, or self-doubt which continuously is impacting upon how you are feeling about yourself? Do something positive to help yourself; change the way you see yourself and interact with the world. Your life can change. Re-write your future by consulting with a fully qualified and insured complementary and natural healthcare registered hypnotherapist.
