5 top tips for weight-loss the kind way
We all know that diets do and then don’t work, as there is more to dieting than just limiting calories (when we feel confident and in control enough to do so). But if diets don’t work in the long-term then what does?
How about a couple of practical little changes?
Think about your body in terms of what stresses/excites it - imagine it is a machine that needs to be cared for. Its basic functions for survival are drinking, eating, exercise and sleeping.
This may be very dull for the dieters who like “extreme” dieting, but you need to be boring and regulate.
Think using your logical self... Think mechanically.
Hypnosis can work to strip away the emotional calling for our relationship with food; it can empower us to be in CONTROL, and make the process of stripping away the fat much, much easier.
There is an expectation that to get rid of our weight, we need to be suffering; we need to be missing out. Imagine just how lovely it would be to feel happy and have that happiness not connected to food.
So even if you’re not ready to have hypnotherapy, you can have a go at these little tips for success:
1. Get enough sleep to reduce the physical stress.
2. Eat three meals a day - ideally spaced four hours apart to give your body a break.
3. Eat before exercise. If your body wakes hungry/thirsty and you exercise immediately, you’re stressing your body.
4. Eat natural and avoid heavily processed foods. The more processed the food, the harder it is for our natural bodies to process. This stresses the body. Imagine that things like chocolate and crisps are exactly what they are; heavily processed.
5. If you’re going to drink alcohol, limit it to your meal.
Hypnotherapy for weight-loss can be useful to alter the mind into thinking about the body and its functions - stripped clean of emotions. We need to eat, drink and exercise to be healthy for survival. We have an optimum weight for survival which is normal, natural and ideal. When we aim for this, our willpower works WITH us and not against us in fear of starvation.
Think about it, it’s easy when it’s logical.
And if there is resistance to that? Then chances are, there are emotional factors getting in the way. Hypnosis can work with understanding those factors, removing them and replacing them with new, natural, positive emotional beliefs that suit you.
Like anything, gentle baby steps are always easier for change, so just tailor your life a little and you will get little results. Tailor yourself a lot, and the results get bigger. BUT FIRST.... get into practice with baby steps and remember, your body is a machine; when it’s well oiled and regulated it works at it’s best.
So, unlike “diets”, hypnotherapy for weight-loss ideally should begin slowly and then before you know it, your body, (your machine) “gets it” - It relaxes into its new way of being and your weight becomes normal and natural for you.
