Hypnobirthing for natural and empowering childbirth
I find that Hypnobirthing is an amazing and very fulfilling area of hypnosis in which to work. It certainly appeared to have a wonderful, relaxed and calm effect on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their beautiful son, Prince George. It is wonderful that childbirth is now publicly being regarded as a hugely empowering event for the whole family.
I was inspired by my training in Hypnobirthing with Katharine Graves the founder of the Hypnobirthing Centre in London, because even though I have had three children I had never been told that childbirth did not have to be painful. I just wish that I had attended Hypnobirthing classes and had learnt how to stay confidently in control of my body, being protected and cared for by my partner and had enjoyed these momentous events in my life rather than fearing them for months.
One of the aims of Hypnobirthing is to remind you that childbirth is natural, that your own body is perfectly designed to deliver a baby in its own unique empowering way. Hypnobirthing classes help you to stay relaxed, confident and calm and enables you to release the fears that cause you to tense up which then leads to the pain. All the time that you stay relaxed and calm, protected and cared for by your partner you will be able to focus on your birthing body, working with the wonderful process of labour to produce your beautiful new baby. You are empowered to create a wonderful, calm, caring, comfortable and confident experience, a wonderful memory for the rest of your life. There are of course benefits for your new baby too, your baby will be aware throughout the pregnancy that you are feeling calm and relaxed. It will be born in a calm and natural way in to a lovely cosy environment, immediately able to bond with Mum and Dad.
As a Hypnobirthing practitioner I hope to inspire you with confidence and provide you with all the knowledge that you need to make informed choices, to release your fears and empower you throughout the birth. Through relaxations and hypnosis you are able to release your fears and learn how to work naturally with your body to create a wonderful birthing experience.
