Celebrities using hypnotherapy for weight-loss
My name is Adam Cumberland and I struggled with my weight since a young boy. After years of yo-yo dieting and being told by doctors I had a chocolate addiction I decided to seek alternative help. Hypnotherapy was the key for me and the reason why I am a hypnotherapist today.
Hypnotherapy guides people down to a deeper state of awareness and consciousness, which is also called “hypnotic state.” It was designed to help people take control of their behaviors, perceptions, and sensations. Since its introduction, many people have used hypnotherapy to help themselves overcome negative behaviors and perceptions and develop new and positive ones. Today, many people use hypnotherapy to shed excess pounds and to live healthy lives.
Hypnotherapy for weight-loss has become a widely accepted strategy to lose weight. This age-old technique is now receiving the credit it so much deserves. Though a handful of misconceptions about its effects still float around, the people who found success in utilising hypnotherapy serve as living proof that this scientifically-approved method has predictable results. Many of those people being celebrities. They helped pull hypnotherapy from obscurity and into the limelight.
Everyone knows that in show business, it’s not a choice to lose weight, rather it’s a necessity. Celebrities must keep their weight in check, or else, they’ll lose the precious role or eventually lose their popularity. Yet, not all people, celebrities included, can count on famous and fad diet plans out there. Moreover, not every celebrity feels okay about the idea of going under the knife for the sake of physical beauty. Many celebrities resort to hypnotherapy and they are thankful they for it.
Geri Halliwell, former member of the UK chart-topping pop band Spice Girls, used hypnotherapy to lose weight and get fit. Orlando Bloom was once brought to a hypnotherapist by his mother to help him overcome his chocolate addiction and get into shape. Sophie Dahl, the granddaughter of Roald Dahl, was once a “plus-sized model.” She realised at one moment she needed to lose weight, and through hypnosis she shed pounds. Sophie is now a star model, is enjoying a healthy life, and has managed to keep excess pounds at bay for more than 10 years!
Perhaps the most vocal about her weight-loss success through hypnotherapy is Lily Allen — UK chart topping pop singer and the daughter of famous actor Keith Allen.
Lily Allen revealed that she had always felt confident with how she had looked. “I felt like it didn’t matter if I was a bit chubby,” Lily said. Possibly due to the pressure of maintaining the momentum of her career, the pop singer realised that she needed to lose weight. "I just ‘want’ to get more toned and healthy,” said Lily.
Lily Allen turned to hypnotherapy and had nothing to regret about doing so. In fact, she was grateful. After an intensive single session, Allen dropped three dress sizes! “I'm really good about everything at the moment - I've never been happier”, Lily said.
One thing is for sure - hypnotherapy for weight loss is here to stay for those people that are looking for genuine long-term results and are willing and ready to make that decision to change.
