Tinnitus management workshop

This workshop will focus on tinnitus management techniques using hypnosis.
Just like chronic pain, an individual's relationship with tinnitus is personal and subjective. When the brain picks up on loud sounds, it triggers a 'flight or fight' response and our bodies respond accordingly. Anxiety and stress are our natural responses to this and these are two things that can make tinnitus worse.
There are many different ways of learning to cope with tinnitus - we can reduce any fear, stress and anxiety related to the condition; we can reduce awareness of the tinnitus (our brains can only do one thing at a time, so if you change your focus away from the tinnitus, your perception of the tinnitus can reduce).
This workshop will look at a few different techniques and then end with a hypnotherapy session.
This will be a small group of no more than 6 people.
Important: It is essential that I do not reduce awareness of tinnitus and mask a more serious condition. For that reason, I require all attendees to have been checked by a GP before enrolling on this course. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer to say that you have done this.
