The Power of Story - How Story, Myth and Metaphor Shapes Our Lives

Suitable for professionals and lay-people, indeed, anyone with an interest in or love of story, this theoretical and practical one-day workshop will help you identify the stories that have shaped and influenced your life.

We will explain how the deeper meanings and metaphors within stories create patterns and expectations in the brain. Metaphors creep in under the radar of our conscious awareness, laying down blueprints in the brain that we follow unconsciously. Stories that you heard long ago could still be affecting you today, like a myth you live your life by.

We will also explore other creative ways to use story by engaging the imaginative mind. You will learn how to create a healthier blueprint/pattern by changing your own ‘story for life’ (and if you are a professional, how to do this with your clients).
