Pain management workshop
Date & Time:24th July 2017, 12pm - 1.30pm

This workshop will focus on pain management techniques using hypnosis.
Pain is subjective - we all have our own definition of pain based on our own life experiences. I will not be getting rid of your pain here or convincing you that it doesn't exist, but we will be looking at different ways of managing pain.
There are many different ways of learning to cope with pain - we can reduce any fear, stress and anxiety related to the pain; we can reduce awareness of the pain (our brains can only do one thing at a time, so if you change your focus away from the pain, your perception of the pain can reduce).
This workshop will look at a few different techniques and then end with a hypnotherapy session.
This will be a small group of no more than 6 people. It is suitable for people with long-term or chronic pain.
Important: It is essential that I do not reduce pain and mask a more serious condition. For that reason, I require all attendees to have been checked by a GP before enrolling on this course. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer to say that you have done this.
