In a bid to encourage unemployed youngsters in parts of Scotland to go out and find work, the council asked hypnotherapist to the stars Paul Mckenna to give an inspirational seminar.

The event was staged at Hampden Park in Glasgow and has been organised as part of the SDS Get Ready to work programme, which is aimed at teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 who are not in school or further education.

The programme has sent more than 800 unemployed youngsters to four half day events and is now sending six hundred to Hampden park with Paul Mckenna.

McKenna was allegedly paid a 20,000 fee, which some have criticised as a bad use of the public purse saying the money could have gone toward apprenticeships. On the opposing side, others have said that it is an innovative and forward thinking method of getting through to youngsters.
