Yesterday’s main headlines of England making it through to the final 16 of the World Cup 2010 and Wimbledon’s record breakingly long game between Nicolas Mahut and John Isner will have many of us thinking about sporting performance today.

There has been much talk about England’s first two lacklustre performance’s and many discussions concluded that the team had got themselves into a bit of a psychological pickle. John Terry himself had said absence from their families was ‘beginning to take its psychological toll on the squad’ and with intense pressure in the camp it seems like the blockage was more in their minds than their physical ability. With Wayne Rooney playing eight England games without scoring the general consensus among commentators was that he desperately needs to put one in the net so he gets the belief and fire back in him.

Hypnotherapy is a useful tool for sports performance, helping to improve an individuals mental attitude and encouraging and assisting relaxation by removing those anxieties and worries. For those who are really feeling the pressure, so much so that is paralysing their performance through fear of failure, hypnotherapy will help to remove those negative thoughts and beliefs by accessing your subconscious to reprogramme the mind. Another helpful technique in this instance is visualisation of success which will help individuals to concentrate on positive outcomes.

If you would like to contact a hypnotherapist who can help you to improve your sporting performance then you can do so using the homepage of this site.

Many avid golfers will be celebrating the recently glorious weather and will take this opportunity to head for the course.

With golf or any sporting activity it is easy to get so wrapped up in the excitement of the game that we forget to actually engage our minds causing us to leave our focus and concentration behind.

If you are really serious about improving your sporting performance then applied techniques such as Neuro-linguistic programming, hypnosis, positive affirmations and visualisation techniques could really help you to relax, clear your mind and achieve and control your desired outcome.

A combination of NLP and hypnosis techniques will help you to overcome any negative thoughts about yourself subsequently helping you to become a better golfer.

Types of tips you’ll receive from an NLP practitioner may be similar to the following: When you tee up stop for a period and really consider everything, breathe deeply, relax yourself and then visualise the outcome of your swing and really believe its going to be good.
If you would like to contact a hypnotherapist/NLP practitioner in view of improving your sporting performance please visit the homepage of this site.

It is motivation that helps us get through some of the most difficult times. It is necessary not only for mundane everyday activities such as getting out of bed in the morning but also for numerous other tasks in life. It could be that you find yourself lacking the drive in anything from motivating yourself to loose weight or earn more, right through to motivating yourself to create a happier family environment.

Lack of motivation can really bring people down and this may lead to further frustrations and a breakdown of communications between people. However, if you decide to intercept this lack of motivation in time then help is at hand.

Hypnotherapy is based on auto suggestion and urges you to alter your self perception and self image. Our subconscious is largely responsible for the way we think and react and sometimes it needs a little retraining in order for us to gain the motivation we desire.

Before beginning a course of hypnotherapy it is important that you set yourself goals. Because hypnotherapy focuses on a particular task, unless this has been defined, hypnotherapy will be ineffective.

Motivation is about realising your true potential, which sometimes gets thwarted by certain experiences in our lives. Hypnotherapy works at removing those blockages and retrains you to think that anything is possible. Go for hypnotherapy for motivation to get the zest in life back.

Exercise is the best way to lose weight, but the kind of exercise you do can affect your food cravings afterward, reports The Guardian.

Dr David Stensel carried out the research into the relationship between different kinds of exercise and food cravings, which is based on the body’s changing temperature, and it’s attempt at keeping it stable. For example, swimming in cold water will make the body crave fatty foods which would give a protective layer, whereas lifting weights will make the body want foods rich in protein and carbs to help strengthen muscles.

Exercise however does suppress appetite for one to there hours afterwards, depending on the intensity of the exercise, meaning that generally people do not eat more than they would had they not done the exercise.
