The ‘pop-up park’ has been specially designed to offer nervous passengers a spot of pre-flight relaxation.
Take a seat on one of the picnic tables and you’ll be offered a ‘relaxation menu’ of dishes containing ingredients scientifically proven to help people unwind. It even contains a dish created by world-famous TV chef Gordon Ramsey.
The relaxation park was built in response to recent research which found that 33% of people take up to five days to getting into the holiday mode, with work stresses ruining any chances of relaxation 33% of the time.
Ben Crowley, Head of Food & Beverage at Heathrow Airport, said: “Holidays are precious, providing us vital time to relax and recharge our batteries. We want to help our passengers start their holiday the moment they arrive at the airport, and make sure their time away is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.”
So, if the perfume counters and duty-free booze is get too much for you when you’re waiting for your gate to open, then Heathrow’s indoor park provides the perfect relaxing alternative.
