Hypnotherapy Improves Self-Concept

Self concept is a persons awareness of themselves and how they feel about their own personality and skills. Along with feelings in the present it can also refer to how we felt about ourselves in the past.

A number of recent studies have found hypnotherapy to have a hugely positive impact on a person’s self-concept, which has many potential benefits.

One particular study looked at whether hypnosis could have an effect on students self-concept and tested to see whether an improvement in self-concept would also result in an improved level of academic achievement. The participants were split into two groups with one group receiving hypnosis-induced mental training and the other who received no hypnosis.

Results showed that those who received the hypnosis induced mental training showed a huge improvement in terms of self-concept and academic improvement.

These results show that very simple hypnotherapy techniques can have a great impact on a persons life, not only improving the way people feel about themselves, but also improving their academic achievement.
