Company Director drops from a size 18 – 8 with gastric band hypnotherapy
Emma Eveleigh-Anderton turned to virtual gastric band therapy after failing to loose weight through diets, weight loss medication and will-power.
The mother of two paid £980 for four sessions which were completed over a period of one month, beginning with a 45 minute ‘virtual surgery’ which saw hypnotherapist Russell Hemmings convince his patient she had undergone a gastric band fitting.
Though Emma was talked through each step of the procedure and believed she was in the operating theatre, there was no anaesthetic, risk of infection, pain, or recovery period and all of this came at a fraction of the £7,000 she would have spent on a real gastric band.
After the first session Emma felt hopeful, but it was the second session that brought about a huge change in her behaviour as she began to gain much more control over what she was eating and felt she had to eat less in order to feel full.
She traded in the takeaways for fresh fruit, vegetables and fish and the weight immediately started dropped of at a rate of around 3Ib a week.
Emma is now comfortable with her size eight figure and is working hard to maintain it through her new healthy lifestyle.
Hypnotherapist Russell Hemmings explains that the therapy works through a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy, both of which are used to ‘reprogramme’ the patients mind to respond differently to food.

Excellent post. It’s always encouraging to hear new ways in which people have used hypnotherapy as a reprogramming mind modality to improve their life. With more testimonials like this, people will go to hypnotherapy first instead of as a last resort.
