Gibbs attended three hypnotherapy sessions during which she was asked to visualise herself exercising and doing sit ups.
Additionally she was given a hypnosis CD which she was required to listen to once each night for a month. The sleep programme worked wonders for Gibbs, who explained how her stomach muscles concentrated overnight and her metabolism sped up meaning she burnt of calories quicker.
After just one month she had lost a stone and has since then lost an additional 2 and a half stone through the enthusiasm for exercise given to her through the power of hypnosis.
The process of hypnotherapy involved reprogramming Gibb’s mind to make her believe she enjoyed exercise, subsequently leafing to her leaving a more active lifestyle when she was awake.
Miss Gibbs 56, a rail announcer from Southend, Essex admitted that first of all she had reservations about hypnotherapy, thinking it sounded a little off the wall. However within just a week she had already lost a pound and she found the method really worked for her as she continued to gradually lose weight and tone up her muscles.
