Hypnosis could help children with respiratory problems
A recent study from the U.S has suggested that hypnotherapy could help to ease the symptoms of children suffering with respiratory problems such as asthma, hyperventilating, coughing and noisy breathing.
The study was compiled by Dr Ran D Anbar and his colleges from the SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York. Dr Anbar has said that hypnotherapy has a very therapeutic value in children with respiratory disorders as it alleviates symptoms such a difficulty breathing and reducing discomfort in medical procedures.
Scientists have already found that children are far more receptive to hypnosis than adults and therefore can successfully use the therapy as a treatment for their respiratory problems.
The scientists have also found that children who suffer from respiratory disorders due psychological issues showed a huge improvement in comparison to those having other breathing problems.
