Hypnotherapy helps with self-concept

An article over at Natural News looks at how hypnotherapy can help people improve their self-concept.

‘Self-concept’ relates to a person’s self-esteem and confidence, and how they perceive themselves. Hypnotherapy has been shown to help with this, particularly for students, women and those suffering from cancer.

A recent study carried out on students showed that those who underwent hypnosis-induced mental training had a significant improvement in their academic performance, as perhaps the student believed they could do better, which motivated them to do so.

Women in particular suffer from self-esteem issues, and self-hypnosis could be used to help promote feelings of improvement and self-worth. Having a better self-concept can improve general mental well being.

Hypnotherapy can tackle this particular area, and therefore help a person to overcome other obstacles in their life that may have previously been holding them back.
