Therapist helps people regulate their drinking
An article over at the Yorkshire Evening Post website looks at how one hypnotherapist is attempting to tackle Britain’s binge drinking problem.
Therapist Nick Kemp became curious about how much people drink after taking some clients to the pub in his previous job. He now helps people keep better control on the amount they drink.
Rather than helping them give up alcohol altogether, Kemp simply helps people to enjoy themselves without going too far, and put their drinking habits into perspective and alter them accordingly.
He said: “When people come and see me it’s not because they want to stop having a good time, they just want to get some control so that their drinking is appropriate for them.
“That’s not what I think they should be drinking, but what’s best for them in the context of their sense of well being, their obligations, relationships and so on.”
