Hypnotherapy helps soldiers with post-traumatic stress disorder
Recent figures have shown that many soldiers are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder when they return from duty, but a hypnotherapist in Cirencester is offering them a way to deal with returning to real life, reports the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard.
Angela Lawrence uses hypnotherapy to help soldiers regress back on their experiences and deal with trauma that arises from them. After the first two world wars hypnotherapy was used on many soldiers.
She said: “They become so dependent on each other in the barracks that when they leave the army they can come into difficulties.
“With the hypnotherapy I regress people back and by doing that I can clear the trauma of an experience.
“It could be a combination of experiences but clearing it helps people to cope with their life. Its amazing what people come out with.”
