Talks to promote alternative therapies in Scarborough

A series of talks are being held in Scarborough to highlight the variety of alternative therapies and treatments available in the area, reports the Scarborough Evening News.

The talks were launched by psychotherapist Veronica Murray, under a campaign entitled KREAtherapy which aims to promote registered and qualified practitioners of alternative therapies. The talks cover a range of subjects, including hypnotherapy, and are encouraged to be an informal session where a practitioner will talk about their work and invite the audience to ask questions.

Ms Murray said: “While their purpose is to introduce the general public to the wide range of therapies available today as well as inform people about the training, registration and practice of each, the programme is also intended to attract other professionals and trainees in health care professions in order to build up a supportive network and possibly even a future directory of alternative therapies covering the area of Ryedale.”
